About Yiyin
Learn from an active professional musician.
Yiyin Li is a violist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and an experienced teacher of both violin and viola. His teaching combines the artistic standards of a professional orchestral career with a patient, supportive approach tailored to each student.
Students develop a healthy technical foundation, a more expressive sound, stronger practice habits, and the confidence to perform. Lessons are welcoming and focused, with high standards presented in a way that feels encouraging rather than intimidating.

Who do you teach?
Yiyin teaches children, teenagers, and adults at beginning through advanced levels. Both violin and viola students are welcome.
Where are in-person lessons held?
In-person lessons are offered in a private teaching studio in Midtown Atlanta. The exact address is shared with confirmed students.
Do you offer online lessons?
Yes. Online lessons are available for students outside Atlanta and for local students who prefer the flexibility of remote instruction.
Do you help with auditions?
Yes. Audition coaching may include repertoire preparation, excerpts, scales, mock auditions, performance strategy, and a structured practice plan.
What happens during a trial lesson?
